Time out with Shopper Mama - Let's shop here!

Hello Vogue-ers!

Let me close the year 2009 with an invite to all our fellow readers of Vogue-U to come and visit Singapore coz there is a new mall in town worth checking out and I ain't talking about ION Orchard!

If you plan to visit our little red dot, thou tiny, tapi bak kata pepatah -

Jangan sangka Singapore kecik-kecik cili padi,

Tapi shopping sini pun best jugak, so just bring extra money!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok, the mall that I would like to recommend you is
CITY SQUARE MALL
The 1st Eco-Mall in Singapore, open recently in late October this year
Conveniently located at Farrer MRT station (soon to be opened) and just minutes away from the famous Mustafa Centre at Serangoon Road.
See? Near MRT right?
They also provide shuttle services from 2 Mrt stations - Pick up / Drop off at either Lavender Mrt (which is nearby where I work, that's why I am loving this mall) and Novena Mrt, every 40 minutes I think!
There are lots of shops and makan places here
My favourite food court is here too - Yippee!
One of the most important facilities I always check out in a mall is their toilets!
As it is, just by looking at the signs above, I already feel 'terpanggil' to their toilets!
Clean toilets, I like it!
Ok actually if City Square Management had paid me to do a review of this mall, I would most gladly elaborate more but since they did not, then I'd say its better for you to check it out yourself!
I know you will love it as much as me!
After all, this mall is 'For the Shopaholic in You'!
My rating for City Square Mall - 7.5/10
Anyway, if you dont like this mall (our opinions may differ), then you can always walk over to Mustafa Centre, just 5 mins away!  Ni mesti you all suka kan?
Vogue-U Potion - I Wish You Enough
May Peace Be With You....
Mak Pah received this article via email a few years back and has safekept it. I think it's good to share with all. Read on.....
Recently I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure. Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the mother said, "I love you and I wish you enough". The daughter replied, "Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Mom". They kissed and the daughter left.
The mother walked over to the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see she wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on her privacy but she welcomed me in by asking, "Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?". "Yes, I have," I replied. "Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?". "I am old and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is - the next trip back will be for my funeral," she said. "When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I wish you enough'. May I ask what that means? ". She began to smile. "That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone". She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail and she smiled! even more. "When we said , 'I wish you enough', we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them".
Then turning towards me, she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory.
I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.
I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess .
I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.
She then began to cry and walked away. They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them but then an entire life to forget them.
Only if you wish to send this to the people you will never forget and remember to send it back to the person who sent it to you. If you don't send it to anyone it may mean that you are in such a hurry that you have forgotten your friends.
TAKE TIME TO LIVE.....
To all my friends and loved ones, I WISH YOU ENOUGH!
LOTS OF LUV..... Mak Pah
i LOVE mondays - Energy Spill : Keep busy with the present rather than the past or future
In the name of Almighty, the Most Gracious and Most Merciful
What is the point in slapping your cheeks or rending your garment in sorrow over something you missed or some calamity that befell you? What is the point in focusing your thoughts and feelings on some incident that has passed so as to increase your pain and make you fall apart?
If it were possible to reach into the past and change its events which we did not like, and alter them the way we like, then going back to the past would be essential. We would all rush to go back and erase the things we regretted doing and increase our share of good fortune.
But that is impossible, so it is better for us to focus our efforts on what will help us get on with our lives, for that is our only means of compensation.
Note for the above post : taken from You can be the Happiest Woman in the World by Dr Aid al-Qarni
i LOVE mondays - office raid : Wonderfactory
May Peace be Upon You
The start of the week was just blissful. The causeway was a breeze for me as I decided to leave JB much earlier than my normal timing after dusk, on Sunday, and just when I was heading towards the void deck of that HDB flat, it started to rain...Phew!!
So after that long weekend, after the office been very empty the past week, lets do a raid to one workplace environment that is just awesome!!!!
Welcome to The Wonderfactory a branding and interaction firm.
Design firm 212box gets the credit for this. The loud colors and interiors sure make a bold statement but the ‘Hell Room’ is what grabs all the attention. Being present in the room allows one to ask an employee to ‘go to hell’ without any legal implications. Imposing of coolness....
Step inside.....
This would be my favourite spot in the office
Mural walls breaks the monotany of the space
Chic and classic dictates a bold statement.
Go to hell - get "fired" up in this meeting room..... Honestly, I will just go bonkers in here...
Somehow this room has a surreal feel to it..
This is my favourite.....Hint - My current favourite colour is WHITE...
You'll definitely would enjoy the space watching this clip. Gone with the typical reception counter that would greet you upon entering the office, this one would just baffle you....
Love from your "kawaii" designer
